Course Materials
To access materials for courses with standardized content, simply log into your member portal using your NAR credentials. The member portal is the best place to go, since it also connects you to EdConnect, instructor evaluations, and other helpful resources and services—all in one place through the appropriate portal tile.
Instructor Training & Development
As real estate education continues to evolve, so does the need for skilled instructors. Attending the Instructor Training Institute (ITI) offers an excellent opportunity to meet the growing need for quality instructors. This two-day training will help instructor candidates refine their presentation skills, teaching methods, and it is a requirement for those who want to teach GRI or other Texas REALTORS® training programs. Broadcast Calendar
Broadcast class requests are now being accepted through the end of the year. Use the Broadcast Instructor Request Form(s) to submit classes for addition to the calendar. To view the current Broadcast Schedule use the Future Broadcast Classes Report found under Reports>EdConnect section of your Education Portal. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. There are no overlapping times or repeat classes during the week, and classes are added in the order requests are received.
Course Renewals
CE credit for the following courses is set to expire November 30, 2025. To request renewal of either of these courses, please complete the non-proprietary course renewal request form by Tuesday, September 30. Course descriptions can be found using the Courses Report search feature in EdConnect.

Contract Instructor Training
Texas REALTORS® is updating requirements for instructors teaching contract courses through the Texas REALTORS® provider. The contract instructor training currently under development is focused on the Texas One-to-Four Family Residential Contract and its related forms and addenda. Training for other segments of real estate contracts is being considered for future development.

What’s New, What’s Now
The Texas Legislature was busy in 2025, and the advocacy efforts of Texas REALTORS® were among the most successful of any session. Exempt Provider
Texas REALTORS® is now recognized by TREC as an exempt provider. This change impacts only GRI and TACS classes and requires some immediate updates moving forward. Remove all references to course provider for GRI and TACS classes. State that the course is TREC approved. You may include course name and number. We will follow up to confirm the requested changes are in place. Also, course policies are being reviewed to align with exempt provider requirements and will be provided as soon as they are available.
New Contract Instructor Requirements
Texas REALTORS® is developing eligibility requirements for instructors teaching contract courses through the Texas REALTORS® provider. More details will be shared as they become available. Once implemented, for the remainder of 2025, eligible instructors must have completed the TREC Legal Update I & II instructor training or the Legal I&II classes, Texas REALTORS® contract instructor training, and meet broker eligibility (active licensed agent for four of the past five years).
Beginning January 1, 2026, instructors will be required to complete Legal Update I & II instructor training, Texas REALTORS® contract instructor training, and meet broker eligibility (active licensed agent for four of the past five years). Taking the Legal courses as a student in 2026 will not meet the criteria. For instructors desiring to teach the 2026–2027 Legal Update I and II courses, visit registrations.trec.texas.gov to register.

Education Feedback
In response to feedback on Education response times, we moved to a ticketing system for education@texasrealtors.com emails, allowing us to better track and manage requests and inquiries. We strive to provide clear, reliable responses within 2 business days. Since launching Zendesk in April, median initial response times are within the day, and full resolution turnaround is steadily improving. Click here to view detailed performance metrics

Special Characters
If a student has a special character in their name, like an accent mark or tilde, the Course Completion push to TREC might show as failed, everyone else does go through properly. It will just be the agent whose name with TREC includes a unique character that failed to go through. Contact education@texasrealtors.com to push through credits for agents who have a special character in their name.
Did You Know
You can have multiple “transactions” under course completions. For instance, if you have someone that has not paid for a class, you can withhold their credit and process everyone else. When they pay, you can then return to course completions and add them for up to 10 days after the course ends. Also, if you initially miss adding a student, use this same process to add them to the class.
