Shaping Communities
Texas REALTORS® is offering the NAR Planning and Zoning Resource class on Thursday, September 25, via Zoom. The fee is $22 per person. Associations who schedule the class by August 27th will be included in a special promotion to Texas REALTOR® members. Attendees will learn practical skills and strategies to strengthen their business and help create more environmentally sustainable, equitable, and financially resilient communities. Log into the EdConnect broadcast calendar feature to schedule the class.
Provider Update
Due to a change in Texas REALTORS® qualifying education provider status with TREC, please make the following class promotion changes. For Texas REALTOR® GRI, TACS or REALTOR® Launch classes remove the following:
· Remove Qualifying provider reference
· Remove provider number – #4520
This change does not affect your ability to schedule these qualifying education courses through Texas REALTORS®. All other course protocols remain the same.
Legal Update Instructor Training
Registration is now open for the upcoming TREC Legal Update I and II Instructor Training sessions. These in-person trainings are for instructors planning to teach the 2026–2027 Legal Update I and II courses. Visit registrations.trec.texas.gov to register.
Did You Know
The class types in EdConnect indicate if there is a fee associated with that class. The class types are:
· Prepaid – one-time fee (covers per person fee for basic non-broadcast & non-certification CE classes)
· Adhoc – per person fee
· Broadcast – per person fee
· Subscription – one-time fee
Leasing & Property Management Legislative Update

Course Renewals
CE credit for the following courses is set to expire October 31, 2025. To request renewal of any of these courses, please complete the non-proprietary course renewal request form by Friday, August 22. Course descriptions can be found using the Courses Report search feature in EdConnect.

Did You Know
You can see if a student passed or failed their qualifying course exam by using the Completed List Report. Log into EdConnect>Reports>EdConnect>Completed List. Enter the desired class and output to see the class pass/fail results.
Texas REALTORS® Legislative Update
Join Texas REALTORS® legal counsel on Tuesday, August 5 at 12:00 p.m. for a webinar to hear more details about the 89th Legislative session. This hour-long meeting is exclusively for instructors to have the opportunity to get clear and relevant information and ask questions about upcoming changes. Register here.
Best of the Best
Join us August 14-15 for our “Best of Conference” education series offering some of the top-rated classes from the 2024 Conference. Taught by the original instructors, classes are from 8:30am to 3:00pm each day. Associations can purchase this package of six classes, which includes five shareable Zoom connections, for $175. M1 Fair Housing
Currently TREC Legal Update 1 meets the NAR Fair Housing requirement. Legal 1 rosters processed through EdConnect will automatically push Fair Housing credit to M1. We are also working on a tool that will comb through all TREC education records and pull any Legal 1 credit (regardless of provider) to upload to M1.
GRI Designation
The Alternate GRI Application is no longer available. Please remove any reference displayed related to this program. Refer members to our website’s GRI page on how to earn the GRI designation. Members may email education@texasrealtors.com with any GRI questions and to request their designation certificate upon completion of requirements.
October Broadcast Calendar
Scheduling of Broadcast Classes for October through End of Year is now open. Please submit your Broadcast Instructor Request Form(s) to have classes added to the calendar. The current Broadcast Schedule is viewable through the Future Broadcast Classes Report found in the Reports section of your Education Portal. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. There are no overlapping times or repeat classes during the week, and classes are added in the order requests are received.
