Texas REALTORS® Legislative Update
Join the Texas REALTORS® legal team on Tuesday, August 5 at 12:00 p.m. for a webinar to hear more details about the 89th Legislative session. This hour-long meeting is exclusively for instructors to have the opportunity to get clear and relevant information and ask questions about upcoming changes. Register here.
Simply the Best
Join us August 14-15 for our “Best of Conference” education series offering some of the top-rated classes from the 2024 Conference. Click the link above to see the class schedule. Taught by the original instructors, classes are from 8:30am to 3:00pm each day. Associations can purchase this package of six classes for $175 and attendees can earn 10 hours of CE. To purchase the Best of Conference subscription package, which includes five shareable Zoom connections, log into EdConnect and select Purchased Packages to add the program. Instructor Materials
Access to course materials, those formerly on the old Instructor Fileshare are being added to the new platform. Log into your member portal to access the course materials portal tile for each of your approved courses. See the Legal 1& 2 Materials tile example below. We are working to get all appropriate materials access added by August 1. For assistance with course materials contact education@teaxsrealtors.com.
Code of Ethics Update
Revisions were recently made to the 2025 NAR Code of Ethics. To see an updated copy of the code, click here. Visit NAR Code of Ethics to see more information on recent changes to the code.

Mark Your Calendar
On Thursday, September 25 via broadcast, Texas REALTORS® has scheduled the NAR Planning and Zoning Resource class. This unique class on advocating for your community’s future will help members acquire a greater understanding of the visioning, planning, and zoning process to empower them as a community advocate and as a real estate professional. Log into the EdConnect broadcast calendar feature to schedule the class.
September Broadcast Calendar
Looking for a teaching opportunity, there are a few open dates and times on the broadcast calendar for September. To see the open dates click here. Submit your request to have a class added to the broadcast calendar here. Classes are added to the calendar in the order requests are received.
TREC Downtime
TREC is preparing to install a new management system in August and estimate a window of 7-10 business days when all systems will be down or have limited access because of planned system upgrade. While specific shutdown dates are not available, please be timely in submitting courses for CE posting as this outage will impact our ability to submit student credit. Also, encourage members with licenses that expire at the end of August to complete their education and renew their license early to avoid possible delays.

CE credit for the following courses is set to expire September 30, 2025. If you would like any of these courses renewed, please complete the non-proprietary course renewal request form by Friday, July 25. To see the course description, use the Courses Report search feature in EdConnect.

TACS Content Development
Texas REALTORS® is seeking proposals for the strategic combination, consolidation, and enhancement of our existing Texas Accredited Commercial Specialist (TACS) 1, 2, and 3 courses. The official Request for Proposal (RFP) document, includes comprehensive details on the project scope, submission guidelines, and evaluation criteria. Qualified individuals are invited to review the RFP and consider sharing your expertise to this important initiative. The proposal submission deadline is July 15.
