Texas REALTORS® will be implementing a new website login process to provide better security and simplify credential recovery. Once it goes into affect REALTOR® members and association staff will need to use their NAR website (nar.realtor) login credentials to access TexasRealEstate.com.

Texas REALTORS® no longer charges students qualifying course makeup fees. This includes the fees normally charged for missed coursework and taking the exam or to retake a failed exam. While a fee will no longer be assessed all related coursework must be completed and the exam passed to receive course credit. Remember to include makeup student information in the CART comment section or on the qualifying course summary. Also, notify Texas REALTORS® when a student completes all makeup requirements. Students have 90 days from the last day of the course to complete any missed coursework, take the exam, or retake a failed exam.

SRS Requirement Change
The Real Estate Business Institute (REBI) has removed the minimum number of transactions requirement from the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) Designation. Here are the new SRS requirements:
· Complete SRS Designation course
· Complete one elective course
· Be a NAR member
· Submit the SRS Designation application

Please share this with your members. The Texas REALTORS® Legal Team will host a webinar on Tuesday, June 18 at 1pm regarding recently updated contract forms and the impact of those changes. Members can register here. You may want schedule additional contracts courses to help supplement the webinar training. The form changes are not based on any specific contract course. Any applicable contracts course can be offered. Instructors have been briefed on the updated forms as well.
Got New Members?
License holders preparing to renew their license for the first time, active or inactive, must complete a 30-hour real estate brokerage course to renew. GRI: Real Estate Brokerage satisfies this requirement. Also the GRI: Real Estate Brokerage will meet the NAR code of ethics requirement due this year and is part of the GRI Designation.
Pre-register with CART
Adding pre-registrants to CART for upcoming classes will automatically allow those attendees access to all course materials (manuals, evaluations, handouts, etc.) three days before the course begins through their “my education” page on our website. As a reminder, pre-registrant counts are required for upcoming broadcast classes. As attendees register for classes, you can add them to the CART using the "Add Pre-Registrants" option. This information will flow into the Classes Report giving Texas REALTORS® and the instructor an estimate on student attendance.
Code of Ethics 2024
We recently discovered a Code of Ethics (COE) posting issue to M1 that we have corrected. If you recently checked member COE status, please check again using the Code of Ethics report instructions to confirm member M1 record reflects COE requirement has been met for Cycle 7 and also identify members who still need to take COE training. As a reminder, Texas REALTORS® does not assess a fee for Code of Ethics classes scheduled outside the broadcast calendar.
It's Almost Over
If you have been thinking about offering the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation course, now is the time. The SRS royalty fee discount will end June 30, 2024. To qualify for these savings, all SRS courses must be offered and completed by June 30, 2024 to only owe the discounted rate of $55 per student.

TREC has established compliance guidelines for Qualifying Education (QE) providers. If you plan to offer any GRI, TACS, or REALTOR® Launch class, you must complete the following five-question form.

Revisions to the legal forms are now complete. The Texas REALTORS® Legal Team will host a meeting Monday, June 10 from 2pm to 4pm to walk through and answer any questions regarding the updated forms.
