December Renewals through REALM while CE Posting System Offline
The TREC team is actively addressing issues relating to the Posting System used to post course completion records. The CE Posting System is not yet fully operational. While working to resolve this issue, license holders will not be charged the CE deferral fee.

License holders must still log into the REALM Portal, submit their renewal application, and pay the renewal fee on time, even if their continuing education has not yet posted in the system.  As long as the renewal application and fee are submitted prior to the expiration date, no late fees, no CE deferral fee, and no penalty will be assessed for December licenses.

TREC Credit Posting, Course Numbers, and Instructor Credit Requests
Credit Posting Offline
Classes submitted in EdConnect during the TREC blackout period may be marked as “Complete” in the Pushed to TREC column. While this normally indicates course credit was posted at TREC, TREC’s new REALM system is not yet fully operational, and their CE posting platform remains offline. As a result, course credit is not posting. We are actively monitoring the situation and working to determine how CE credit postings will be addressed once the TREC REALM system becomes fully operational.

New TREC Course Numbers
TREC has also provided new course numbers for all classes; course numbers are now alphanumeric. We are working to update all course numbers in EdConnect in order of upcoming scheduled courses. This course number update should not require any further action on your end.

Instructor Credit Request in REALM
To submit an instructor credit request, the licensee will go to their individual license record in REALM, and click "Amendment", then "Alternative Credit Request", then "Instructor" for Type of Education Request and follow the prompts and certification. Providers do not need to certify these requests. Once submitted, an email confirmation will be sent.

Final Free Contracts Instructor Training, 12/22
The last free Contracts Instructor Training, a requirement to teach Contracts courses, is on Monday, December 22nd, at 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. CST. After this date, a cost will be incurred for courses required to qualify to teach residential contracts.

2026 Course Proctoring Policies Unchanged
