TREC REALM Portal Update
Starting Tuesday, December 2, TREC will enter a blackout period as they transition to their new Real Estate and Appraiser Licensing Management (REALM) Portal. After the blackout period (projected to end Tuesday, December 9), TREC’s system will utilize new licenses that include the original license number and a license-type suffix (i.e. 123456-SA). EdConnect is prepared to accept both legacy and new licenses, and report education attendees to TREC in the correct license format. While there might be delays to posting education records to the TREC website during the blackout period, there will be no interruption in reporting education records to EdConnect or changes on how you process courses through Texas REALTORS®.
If you work with another Provider to offer substantive education, it might be prudent to ensure they’re prepared for the transition.

Contracts Updates vs. Contracts Instructor Training
Attending Contracts Update Webinars hosted by the Texas REALTORS® Legal Team does not meet the Contracts Instructor Eligibility Criteria. While we encourage all instructors to attend these webinars to stay current on changes, those wishing to teach contracts must complete the separate Contracts Instructor Training, which focuses on best practices in a classroom setting.
QE Exam Score Notification
Upon submission of the exam, test takers will immediately be shown their results and will also receive an email notification with their score. Should the test taker not pass, they are directed to contact the course host to schedule an exam retake.

Texas REALTORS® is coordinating a statewide virtual CIPS training series in early 2026 and inviting local associations to partner with us. This event will bring together attendees from Texas, Canada, and Mexico for an international learning experience to be delivered February 12, 19, 26, and March 5 & 12, 2026. Email Ronnie Kovar with any questions.
