CE Posting Update
TREC's CE Posting System is now back online, however, there are still lingering issues with automated postings, such as ones coming from EdConnect. Our programming team, our database team, and TREC are working together to make the "Pushed to TREC" function available again; we don't yet know when this will be completed.

At this time, Texas REALTORS® Education Staff are manually submitting your rosters to TREC, starting with classes that occurred at the beginning of TREC's blackout period. From December 3rd until now, we have had nearly 400 classes; we appreciate your continued patience as we work through this. Please continue to submit your rosters within 2 business days of the class.

Continue to submit rosters through EdConnect within 2 business days as described in the Terms and Conditions. Once classes begin posting, we will notify associations directly outside of The Dispatch. Visit the TREC website for live updates.

Submit Instructor Credit Request in REALM
To submit an instructor credit request, the licensee will go to their individual license record in REALM, and click "Amendment", then "Alternative Credit Request", then "Instructor" for Type of Education Request and follow the prompts and certification. TREC REALM CE Posting Offline & License Renewal Guidance
TREC has informed course providers that they are actively addressing issues relating to the CE Posting System. As they work to resolve this issue, license holders will not be charged the CE deferral fee. However, if their license is expiring at the end of this month, it is important that they process their license renewal application online regardless of the status of their education. Visit the TREC website for updates and information.

Course Renewal & New CE Course Requests - Real Estate & Appraisal
March Expiration Course Renewal Requests
Please review the courses that expire 3/31/26. If you would like to request any of these courses be renewed, please complete the non-proprietary course renewal request form.

Submit New CE Course Requests for Real Estate and Appraisal
If you would like to have a new real estate course approved by TREC or renew a proprietary real estate course, please complete the Real Estate CE application form.

If you would like to have a new appraisal course approved by TREC, or renew a proprietary appraisal course, please use the Appraiser CE Application.

A singular course can provide BOTH real estate and appraisal CE. Submit an application for each CE type.

Residential Contracts Courses & Updates to Instructor Eligibility Criteria
Courses and Approved Instructors Identified in the Courses Report
Residential Contracts courses that fall under our new instructor restrictions are identified in the Courses Report, found in EdConnect, with the "Residential Contracts" group. Approved instructors can be viewed by clicking the number under the Instructor column for the desired course. Please note: instructors that have not yet activated their eligibility to teach this year will not show until their instructor fee is paid.

Additional Options to Qualify to Teach Residential Contracts
To become eligible to teach 1-4 Residential Contract and related addenda courses through Texas REALTORS®, the instructor must first complete required trainings and meet the instructor eligibility requirements. Additional options have been added to substitute for the TREC Legal Update Instructor Training and the Texas REALTORS® Contracts Instructor Training when not available. When ready, submit the Residential Contracts Instructor Application.

TREC REALM CE Posting Offline & New Course Numbers
TREC CE Posting Offline
TREC has not yet restored their CE Posting System. We are continuing to monitor the situation.

New Course Numbers
Courses have been updated with the new TREC course numbers. Please use these new numbers in advertising and communications. If, when looking up a course in the Courses Report in EdConnect, the old style course number is still showing, this means we have not yet received the new course number from TREC. We are working with TREC to reconcile these last courses.

Legal Update I & II 2026-2027 Now Available
Legal Update I & II 2026-2027 are now available for scheduling, with new course numbers 10012-RENE & 10014-RENE, respectively. Instructor Materials are available through the Portal Tile in the instructor's Member Portal.

Broadcast calendar offerings of the Legal Update series have been added and are available for selection in association EdConnect portals.

Proprietary Course Application Fees and Current Delay
Proprietary course applications will now require payment to Texas REALTORS®, rather than Texas REALTORS® sending documents back to the instructor to remit by check. Texas REALTORS® will process, submit, and track the course application from end-to-end, including payment.

We are working directly with TREC on electronic payment options at this time. There may be a delay in course application processing as this is in progress.

Residential Contracts Courses are Restricted to Approved Instructors
Residential Contracts courses are now restricted and approved instructors who meet the Residential Contracts Instructor Eligibility Criteria and have applied to teach residential contracts are being added to the courses. We expect all affected courses to be completely updated with approved instructors by end of day Tuesday, January 6th. If you need an instructor added sooner, contact Gregory Lang at glang@texasrealtors.com.

View the class in the Courses Report in EdConnect for approved instructors for each course.

CRD Courses' Royalty Fees Unchanged; Available January 5th
At this time, NAR does not foresee any royalty fee changes for CRD courses and per-person course fees will be the same for 2026. CRD courses can be added to EdConnect effective Monday, January 5th. Refer to the Courses Report in EdConnect for per-person course fees.

Education Response Times
We thank you for your patience as the TREC REALM rollout and holiday schedules affected our December response times. We continue to meet our goal of responding to requests and inquiries within 2 business days, with initial replies typically sent the same day. Click here to view our current performance metrics.
